Assalamualaikum and hi everyone..
Today I'm gonna share with you on how to make your own veil using simple method but I assure you, the result is awesome!
You will need :
# Fabric used : Chiffon (1.5 metre)
# Measuring tape
# Scissors
# Pins
# 3 or 4 thread Serger Machine / or use baby seam
This is my engagement veil... beautiful, isn't it?
I made a shawl too to complement the veil..
Take a look on how to measure and cut your fabric as follow.
Tadaaa... This is how it looks when it's done.. my shawl!!! oh..lalalala ^__^
Let's get started!!!
1. Fold your fabric as the picture above. Fold at C.
2. Cut at B and put aside the extra fabric.
3. Measure your front and back length of veil on fold. Mine is 24" wide and 30" long (back).
*Note that 24" is where you will put your face through.
4. Cut a little bit curve-like on top. Measure 2" from the fabric and cut like the dashed line.
This is to ensure that it stay just above your bangs, not on your forehead.
5. Trim the fabric so that it won't crumpled when you serge it later.
*You can use serger machine or baby seam to close the end of veil. Do it at this step.
6. Put some lace or embroidery.
7. I also add some beads and diamonds.
And....it's done! yeay!!!
